How can you become a Carpenter in Canada?
This is if you are not a certified and qualified carpenter in Canada. You can go through apprenticeship where you will take like three to four years to complete. When carrying out your apprenticeship program, you will be earning salary for work you do and this should be around half of what a qualified carpenter earns. The good thing is that it increases every month till you become a certified carpenter which is also called a journeyman.

You will do a lot of practical work during your technical training for four years before you then write you certification examination to make you a certified carpenter.

During your training program, you will pay for fees, textbooks, personal protective tools and then registration with the trades union. You will certainly be one step away from getting your permanent residence as many provinces in Canada need carpenters and other skilled tradespersons.
